so much more than this

strange beginning for the both of us

peculiar mood of 1991's april days

the nation still swapped away by the "wind of change"

never intended to align our ways

wednesday night in an old fashioned cinema

arranged by the ambitioned heart of a friend

"driving miss daisy" without any idea

what to initiate that story was meant

 

examinations and milestones so far away

in a distant row of yesterday's memories

no cross - no crown just a few heres and nows

for a peaceful and wise "let it be"

you gave birth to our boys grew them up to their best

there's no doubt look around and see

torn between feelings like deep thankfulness

a bit of pride and serenity

 

girl this is much more than 20 years now

so much more than just sharing our lives

wish to get another more than 20 years now

to go ahead with you side by side

so many words unspoken - so many things undone

no longer abandoned to reality

but still in touch with some crazy plan 

 

when you and i speed down our day-to-day life

late night in our hometown moonlight bar

it feels like ruling this strenious world outside

from inside that smoke clouded humidor

neither splendid hours in a shanghaian jazz lounge

nor northern lights over reykjavik

not even these blue skies in tuscany

can get next to that awesome kick
